Gwinnett Prosecutor Caught in Prostitution Sting Has Resigned

The assistant district attorney was one of 56 people arrested in a crackdown on a DeKalb County escort service.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A prosecutor with the Gwinnett County District Attorney's office who was arrested in connection with a prostitution sting last month has resigned, the office confirmed.

Christopher Quinn, 46, of Alpharetta, had returned to work as an assistant district attorney days after he was charged with pandering and violation of Georgia's racketeering statute.

"Chris has resigned to spare my office further turmoil," District Attorney Danny Porter wrote in an email to Patch.

Quinn's resignation is effective February 24.

Quinn was one of 56 people arrested as part of an operation that included a New Year's Day sting of a high-end escort service in neighboring DeKalb County. According to police, the prostitution ring was operating out of an apartment across the street from the Dunwoody Police headquarters.

Quinn worked primarily in the appeals section of the DA's office, where he'd been employed for about four years after retiring from the Fulton County DA's office.
