Gwinnett Student Accused Of Assaulting Teacher Charged: Reports

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Discovery High School student accused of assaulting a teacher Tuesday morning is facing criminal charges, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution.
According to media reports, the teacher had spoken with the student's parents the day before about the student's academic performance.
Disciplinary consequences could be forthcoming for students who recorded the fight, the AJC reported.

Channel 2 reported the male teacher had a bloodied mouth, dizziness and head injuries from the fight. The outlet posted a blurred video of the attack.
The AJC reported School Principal Marci Sledge released a letter on the accusation.
