Gwinnett Trucker Strikes, Kills Pedestrian In Marietta
No charges against the driver had been filed as of Monday afternoon.

MARIETTA, GA — A truck driver from Gwinnett County struck and killed a pedestrian Monday morning in Marietta, according to police.
The Marietta Police Department says the victim — described as an older, white male wearing a dark-colored jacket and jeans — was walking through a parking lot at 1803 Roswell Rd.
A 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer operated by Pierre Poteau, 54, of Lawrenceville, struck and killed the man in the parking lot, police say.

Due to the extent of the victim's injuries, officers had not been able to identify him as of Monday afternoon. No charges had been filed in the incident, the police department said.
