Gwinnett Woman Dies After Being Shot at S.C. Gun Range
Authorities believe the Monday shooting was an accident.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA β A Gwinnett County woman was shot and killed at a South Carolina gun range on Monday in what authorities believe was an accident.
Sarah Bonner, 24, of Lawrenceville, died after "a terrible and tragic accident at the gun range doing what she always loved," her family said on the Web page for a GoFundMe campaign in her memory.
The Anderson, S.C. coroner's office told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Bonner was shot in the eye while she and members of her family were at the Skip-J Range in Anderson.

She was taken to AnMed Health Medical, where she later died, the paper reported.
Coroner Greg Shore told the AJC the shooting is believed to have been accidental. Police were working to match the bullet with the gun used in the shooting.

On the GoFundMe page, Bonner's family is working to raise money for her funeral expenses. On Friday morning, the campaign had raised $8,010 of a $10,000 goal.
"There is no way to explain exactly what happened because we will never know," the family writes on the page. "It is literally just an unfathomable accident that no one will be able to ever explain ... .
"Everyone that knew Sarah knew that she was such a caring, kind hearted, amazing and outgoing person full of life and love for everyone."
