LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Gwinnett County woman was killed Thursday morning when she lost control of her car on Interstate 75 in Kennesaw, authorities say.

Jamilah Burch, 22, of Lawrenceville, was driving north on the Chastain Road ramp at about 6:37 a.m. Thursday when, according to the Cobb County Police Department, she lost control of her 2006 Mazda 3.

Her car collided with a dirt mound, then rolled into a pond created by water runoff from a nearby construction site. Police say the car came to an uncontrolled rest on its roof in the pond.
