With This Healthy Elixir Say Goodbye to Colds and Flues!

Make homemade citrus tea and wonderful elixir!

There are so many different teas on the market today. There are green teas, black teas, fruit teas, teas that comes in tea bags and in the fancy boxes, but there are also teas found in the jars mixed with honey and citrus fruits. During my visit to local Asian market I saw beautiful medium size jar and inside was mixture of honey and citrus fruits. That was great product and that gave me an idea to try to make similar tea at home, budget friendly, healthy with great aromatic tasted the whole family loves. With this great tea we can say goodbye to colds and flues and yet it is great elixir for the whole body during winter months. To make this wonderful tea we only need three ingredients: lemons, ginger and honey. In a medium size jar I make layers of circle cut lemon with skin on which is previously thoroughly washed and cleaned, then layers of cut, washed and peeled ginger, approximately 4 cm. long ginger root and few tablespoons of raw honey. We all know ginger's healthy benefits, we know lemons are rich with vitamin C and plus the raw organic honey. Combination of all these ingredients is a called "vitamin bomb" for our bodies. It is the best to use organic lemons, but if not found organic then skin can be washed well and cleaned with soap and baking soda. When jar is full with all these healthy ingredients, we put the lid on and leave it in the fridge over night to let all it cool and to let this wonderful mixture make healthy components good for our bodies. In the morning when opening the lid the great aroma from the jar will wake all your senses up and tea will taste better than hot lemonade. So, we put two tablespoons of this mixture to the tea cup and pour it with boiling water and viola, tea/elixir is ready with wonderful and healthy tea that taste great.
