Her Walk: A Perspective on Today's Critical Issues

A Community Conversation with Experts

Upsilon Alpha Omega in conjunction with their Connections Committee invite you to attend the event. If you attend, expect an engaging and energetic event with a professional, diverse, and dynamic slate of well-informed guest speakers discussing today’s issues. The event will be held November, 1, 2018 @ 6:00 pm at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville GA 30046. This timely symposium is intended to address some of today’s most pressing issues and concerns, to strategically inform and discuss supportive networks, and to provide names of organizations and interventions available in Gwinnett County, Georgia and throughout metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. Gen-Z, Millennials, Gen-Xers, Baby Boomers and The Greatest Generation are all encouraged to attend. Issues of concern for and about women will be the primary focus of the upcoming UAO Community Forum. Guest speakers will represent a spectrum of professionals, from a broad range of fields of endeavor and personal experiences. Community Forum topics include: Education, Racial/Social/Economic Justice, the “Me Too” Movement, Wealth Management, Mental Health (Adult Suicide Prevention), the Gender Gap, the Wage Gap, Immigration Rights and Women Supporting Women.

The Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter Community Forum is a part of A Walk in Her Pearls, an intergenerational series of community education activities spearheaded by Upsilon Alpha Omega to spur community awareness and action, and to prompt positive change in Gwinnett County, GA.
