The closure will start at the I-85/I-985 split. Traffic traveling northbound on I-985 will be detoured by way of I-85 to Exit 115, then to State Route 20, to the I-985 on ramp. The detour is about six miles long and drivers will need to slow down when approaching the work zone, the DOT says.
