Lanes On I-85, I-985 To Be Closed This Weekend
The closures are due to work extending I-85's express lanes through Gwinnett County.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Lanes on Interstate 85 and Interstate 985 in Gwinnett County will be shut down this weekend as Georgia Department of Transportation crews do their work.
The DOT announced that one northbound and one southbound lane of I-85 will be closed just before and after the State Route 20 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
Crews will be working on the I-85 express lane extensions there.

Similar work will shut down one northbound lane in I-985 for a half-mile north of the I-85 interchange. That lane will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m Saturday as well.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution by reducing speed while driving through work zones.
