Langley Drive In Lawrenceville To Be Closed For Weeks

A portion of the drive is shut down for work on the road and at the Gwinnett County Justice and Administration Center.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A portion of Langley Drive in Lawrenceville near the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center will be closed for weeks while roadwork gets done.

The portion of Langley at Constitution Boulevard was shut down Friday and will remain closed for up to six weeks, county officials say. One entrance to the parking lot at the justice center has been closed due to the construction.

While that part of Langley Drive is shut down, traffic will be detoured onto Constitution Boulevard to Nash Street and then to the east side of Langley Drive.

The road closure is to allow crews to complete improvements to the plaza area at the justice center and build a new left-turn lane into the parking lot from Langley Drive. Additional improvements will include a passenger drop-off area, an additional handicap parking area and replacement of walkways.

Once completed, access to the parking lot from the Constitution and Langley entrance will be restored, and work crews will move to the east side of Langley Drive.

Visitors to the building, including those assigned jury duty, should consider allowing extra time for travel during construction. Overflow parking is available on the top floor of the parking deck behind the building on Mondays and Tuesdays as well as in the Nash Street parking lot daily.
