Lawrenceville Man Printed, Stole 351 Lottery Tickets: Charges

The total value of what he allegedly stole was almost $8,000, according to warrants.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- A man is being accused of printing out and stealing almost $8,000 worth of lottery tickets from a convenience store.

Sajid Shafiq, 26, printed out tickets for Cash 3, Cash 4, Fantasy 5 and Mega Millions at the Exxon Food Mart on Tuesday, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.

The total value of the 351 tickets Shafiq stole is $7,849 according to warrants, the Post reported. He was arrested and booked into the Gwinnett County jail at 6:18 p.m. on Tuesday.

Shafiq is being held on $22,400 bail, facing felony charges of theft by taking and counterfeiting lottery tickets.
