Lawrenceville Man Shot at New Year's Eve Party

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- A man was shot and fell from a 10-15-foot balcony shortly after midnight at a New Year’s Eve party in Lawrenceville, police said.

Officers arrived at Sweetwater Apartments, at 3100 Sweetwater Rd. in unincorporated Lawrenceville, at 1:43 a.m. Friday to find the victim unconscious on the ground, according to a news release.

A fire department crew transported him to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition and able to talk with investigators.

Witnesses told police the man was attending a party when he was shot. There were know known suspects Friday morning.
