Lawrenceville Police Officer Killed In Off-Duty Crash
The Lawrenceville Police Department said the officer was with the agency for less than a year when he died on Friday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The Lawrenceville Police Department is mourning the loss of an officer after he died in an off-duty traffic accident.
Lawrenceville police confirmed Officer Travis Clarke died Friday; however, the agency did not release additional details about the accident.
Clarke joined the Lawrenceville Police Department in November. He was assigned to City Hall, where police said he interacted daily with the public and city employees across multiple departments.

"In his time with the police department, he made a lasting impact on those around him through his infectious smile, positive attitude, and unwavering passion for law enforcement," Lawrenceville police wrote. "His loss is being felt not only throughout the Police Department, but across the entire City of Lawrenceville family. He was a valued colleague, trusted friend, and dedicated public servant whose presence will be deeply missed."
The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating the accident.
