Local Doctor, Assistant Arrested for Illegal Prescriptions: Report

Investigators accuse physician and clinic owner of misusing blank forms.

A Lawrenceville doctor and physician assistant are facing criminal charges for their handling of medical prescription forms, according to a medioa report.

Investigators allege that Dr. Beth Sullivan pre-signed blank prescription forms and provided them to Physician Assistant Dave George, who owns Riverside Family Medical, their Lawrenceville practice. Sullivan and George were arrested Monday, WGCL-TV (CBS46) reported.

The two were using the forms to illegally prescribe Schedule II and Schedule III medications, the investigators said. Georgia law prohibits doctors from pre-signing prescriptions, and physician assistants are barred from prescribing Schedule II drugs.
