Mall Of Georgia Holiday Tree Lighting Scheduled

The annual celebration will include musical performances, kids' activities and a showing of "The Polar Express."

BUFORD, GA — Mall of Georgia will be decking the halls at its annual holiday tree lighting on Nov. 18.

The event is set for 4-9 p.m. at The Village. The free celebration will feature the lighting of the mall's 50-foot Christmas tree, a special "Movie Under the Stars" screening of "The Polar Express" on a 55-foot screen, holiday activities and more.

Entertainment will include a live DJ and performances by the Salvation Army Band and the APA Superstars. Santa and Papa Elf will be on hand to welcome the season. Children's activities will include face painting, a bounce house, holiday crafts, giveaways and more.

For guests over 21 years old, craft cocktails, beer and wine from participating restaurants, including Marlow’s Tavern, Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, P.F. Chang’s and Smokey Bones, will be served in The Village.

The musical performances and children's activities will begin at 4 p.m. The tree lighting will be at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin about 7 p.m.
