Man Sentenced Life Plus 40 Years For Carjacking: Report

Less than 10 minutes after a couple called 911 to say he stole their Camaro, he was found stuck in traffic.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A carjacker didn't make it far after stealing a Chevrolet Camaro, according to reports, because he got stuck in traffic. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Theandre Haggins, 27, was convicted on Aug. 23 of several charges related to the crime.

Haggins, also known as Denzel Morris, met a couple who was selling a 2013 Camaro in the Lawrenceville Walmart parking lot on Feb. 2, 2017. They had facilitated the meet up through Craigslist, the Journal-Constitution reports.

The couple didn't let Haggins take the Camaro for a test drive so he pointed a gun at the two and demanded the title, according to the outlet. He then got the title and drove off, reports say.
