May 4, 2016 LEAP/Crossroads Networking Meeting
Come out May 4 to network for your job search and hear a panel of employers give helpful suggestions on maximizing attendance at a job fair.
LEAP/1st United Methodist Church Lawrenceville will be conducting a Career Expo in partnership with the GA Department of Labor Gwinnett and the Crossroads Career Network on Thursday, May 19th from 9 am to noon where there will be 45+ employers with employment opportunities and a mini-workshop on Job Interviewing. The employer panel will inform job seekers on how to "stand out from the crowd” at this event and similar events.
In addition, work on your elevator pitch and present it to the group in a non-threatening, supportive environment. It is suggested that job seekers plan to arrive early, bring a good supply of their business cards and dress appropriately (business casual at the minimum).
