Missing Person Found: Gwinnett Police

The Gwinnett County Police Department located a woman after a Mattie's Call had been issued.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department have located a 55-year-old woman after a Mattie's Call had been issued for her last week. Luz Munoz was found safe in Dunwoody Jan. 14. Munoz was unharmed and did not need any medical attention. Officers responded to the scene and reunited Luz with her family.

Luz Munoz was described by the police department as a Hispanic woman, 5'2" tall and weighing 115 pounds. She was last seen on Jan. 11 at about 7 p.m., wearing a blue Crunch Fitness shirt, grey leggings, yellow socks and no shoes.

According to police, she may be having mental health issues and is not thought to have a cellphone, vehicle or money.

Established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2006, Mattie's Call is an emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons. The alert is an investigative tool that can be activated only by a local law enforcement agency.
