Mom Helps Police Nab Alleged Kroger Purse Snatcher
The suspect is a 15-year-old juvenile, Gwinnett County police say.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Police have arrested a suspect in a purse-snatching at a Lawrenceville Kroger, after his own mother turned him in.
The suspect, a 15-year-old juvenile, has been charged with one count of Robbery By Sudden Snatching.
He is being housed at Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.

On Wednesday at about 1:30 p.m., a woman was loading groceries into her car at the Kroger at 950 Herrington Rd. in Lawrenceville when a man snatched her purse, Gwinnett County Police say.
The suspect ran away behind the building. But, before the incident, police say, the suspect was captured on video surveillance inside the store, walking with two other men.

Police shared those images with local media last week hoping for help catching the culprit.
On Friday, the suspect's mother saw his image on local news and turned him in to police, a department news release said.
