Mother Crashes Car Into Pole To Prove To Kids God Is Real

A woman crashed her car into a telephone pole Wednesday​ to prove to her kids God is real, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A woman crashed her car into a telephone pole Wednesday to prove to her kids God is real, Norcross police told The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Bahari Shaquille Warren, 25, was charged with two counts child cruelty, according to a Gwinnett County jail arrest record.

Warren was driving northbound on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard when she crossed into the southbound lanes and drove directly into a pole, Channel 2 Action News reported. Her children, ages 5 and 7, were in the backseat.

Police told the AJC that Warren told her children to buckle up before she drove head-on into the pole, Channel 2 reported. Warren later told police she purposefully crashed her car to prove to her children God is real.

The newspaper is reporting her children are with their grandparents. Warren is in the Gwinnett County jail on $22,000 bond.
