N-Word Spray Painted on Neighborhood Sign: Reports

Offensive graffiti was found Saturday morning at the Avington Glen subdivision near Lawrenceville.

Police are investigating a report of alleged racist graffiti on an entry sign at a Lawrenceville-area subdivision.

The graffiti, which included the N-word, was found Saturday morning by residents in the Avington Glen subdivision in unincorporated Gwinnett County, WSB-TV reported.

The neighborhood is located in an area south of the city of Lawerenceville and north of Grayson, near Sugarloaf Parkway.

“I have three young children and I don’t want them growing up seeing that. It’s very hateful,” Nordia Neal told the TV station.

Vulgar images were spray-painted on another sign in the neighborhood, CBS46 reported.

No suspects have been identified in the case.
