Nasir Hospital in Guatemala - Humanity First USA
For the past decade, AMC has opened many schools and hospitals in Africa irrespective of their ethnicity, religion and social back ground.
Nasir Hospital in Guatemala was inaugurated by the current worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community, His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahamd on 23rd of October 2018.
Humanity First has been serving Guatemalans in need since its establishment in
2010. Over the years, Humanity First Guatemala has continued to exceed goals
and expectations to decrease the suffering and extreme poverty of Guatemalan
families.
The hospital structure houses a 22-bed inpatient unit, adjacent to a surgical zone, which includes a
maternal and prenatal ward. The remainder of the building houses outpatient
services, which offers the opportunity for Humanity First to expand their
preventive and clinical services. The event was attended by many Guatemalan
government officials and dignitaries and this was the project which was
initiated under the direction of His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad who
delivered a beautiful speech with messages of peace, love, and harmony.
His Holiness, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said, “We consider it to be an extremely significant
occasion. Humanity First was originally founded by Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
(AMC). So, humanity first has deep and lasting connection with Ahmadi Muslims.
You may be wondering that why Muslims have built this hospital. The answer is
simple. It was built to serve humanity. I wish to clarify that this will not be
the end of our services to this country. Rather, it is my prayer that this
proves to be the first of many humanitarian projects established by Humanity
First in this region. For the past decade, AMC has opened many schools and
hospitals in Africa irrespective of their ethnicity, religion and their social
back grounds. Around 90 percent of the students who get education in our
schools of Africa are non-Muslims. It requires us to be selfless, and be ready
to make sacrifices for the well-being of others. As stated in Holy Quran that
’Muslim is he who enjoins what is good and forbids evil’ (3:11).

It means that true Muslims are ones who promote goodness and stay away from evil and injustice.
Furthermore, he added, “It is stated in the Holy Quran that Muslims are
instructed to feed the hungry, to show empathy and love to orphans, and to help
anyone in need (90: 15-17).”
May God enable the doctors to provide best possible care to the poor and deprived people with the
spirit of love and affection. May God enable the management staff to heal and
cure the deserving through His grace. Amen.
