The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners will install a new roundabout at an intersection within Gwinnett County.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday awarded a contract to install a roundabout at the intersection of Sardis Church Road and Doc Hughes Road. Curb and gutter, lighting and sidewalks are also part of the project.
Peach State Construction Co. LLC was the lowest of 11 bidders at $518,453.25. Funding comes from the 2014 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, or SPLOST, program.
“I’m optimistic about the potential to improve traffic safety with this intersection design,” said District 4 Commissioner John Heard. “Innovative solutions like this roundabout make Gwinnett County the best place to do business in the nation.”
