New Tag Office Hours In Gwinnett

Gwinnett County tag offices will be open one less hour a day, but that will allow them to stay open five days a week, county officials say.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Starting in July, Gwinnett County tag offices will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, county officials announced.

Offices in Lawrenceville, Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Buford and Snellville currently stay open until 6 p.m., but for only four days a week.

Tax Commissioner Richard Steele also announced that there will be a change in the location offering Saturday service. Beginning July 1, the Lawrenceville tag office will be open on Saturdays and the North Gwinnett tag branch in Buford will be closed.

"With our Saturday crowds, we have simply outgrown our North Gwinnett location," Steele said. "Saturday hours in Lawrenceville will offer Gwinnett County residents a centrally located branch with ample parking as well as drive-through service.

"The new five-day schedule also allows for each tag office to be open an additional day each week."
