Part of the Team for Over 15 Amazing Years!

Mrs. Powers has been an integral part of our Primrose team for 15 amazing years! She is a teacher who can substitute for any classroom in the school, pick up on the curriculum, know every child, and bring a sense of joy to the classroom immediately.

Mrs. Powers and her husband, Patrick, were married in 1976 (that’s almost 44 years!) and have 4 grown children. Their oldest, Matthew, is married to Shereen and they are the proud parents of Benjamin who was just born this Grandparents Day, September 13. Their second son, Josh, is married to Martha and they have two beautiful children, Patrick (12 years old) and Katherine (8 years old). Josh and his family live on Fort Shafter in Honolulu where Josh serves as an officer in the United States Army. Their older daughter, Jennifer, lives in Utah with her firefighter husband, Tyler, and the grand-dogs, Tucker and Cora, the grand-cat, Wyeth, plus the grand-horse, Stakki. The youngest, Molly, is a graphic designer who works for the Art Department at the University of Utah. She and her partner, Jay, live in Salt Lake City and he just earned his PhD and the family can now call him Dr. Jay Love!

Mrs. Powers loves to read, exercise, listen to music, and help others to enjoy those things as well. She meditates and truly believes in the importance of natural healing. She has taught yoga and a small boot camp. She is grateful for all of the children in her life and that spark of joy that still flares in her heart. Sometimes that spark still stuns her for a moment. We are grateful for Mrs. Powers and the joy she brings to our school, children, staff, and families each day. Namaste, Mrs. Powers!
