Patient Access Specialist

Gwinnett Medical Center located in Lawrenceville is currently seeking a patient access specialist. This individual will receive patients, complete registration, obtain consents, verify insurance and obtain precertification, request payment from patients and explain hospital payment policies.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience using the keyboard and ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy is required as well as is the ability to communicate effectively. A certified patient account representative is preferred and the ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

This is a PRN position with typically a Saturday and Sunday work schedule.
