Planet Fitness comes to Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road

Planet Fitness, the innovative health club franchise known for its Judgement Free Zone® and affordable prices, has opened a new club at 1404 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, in the Riverside Crossing shopping center. Now through November 21, members can join for just $1 down and then $10 a month with no commitment.

Planet Fitness prides itself on offering extremely affordable memberships and a unique Judgement Free Zone® unlike any other gym, where members can experience a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment. Each club also features the brand’s iconic “Lunk Alarm” -- a purple and yellow siren on the wall used to gently remind people that grunting, dropping weights or judging others are not permitted.

The new Planet Fitness location on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road is over 18,000 square feet and offers brand-new cardio machines, new fully equipped locker rooms, 34 full-size flat-screen televisions, a 30-minute express circuit and a 12-minute ab circuit, two HydroMassage beds, five tanning booths/beds, and a Total Body Enhancement booth. The club is open 24/5 -- from midnight Sunday continuously through 9pm Friday, and then from 7am to 7pm on weekends.

Membership includes a variety of other benefits, including unlimited small-group fitness instruction by a certified trainer through the pe@pf® program. In addition, as a member appreciation gesture, Planet Fitness provides free pizza on the first Monday of every month, and free bagels on the second Tuesday of every month, while supplies last.

Planet Fitness members can celebrate their achievements that take place every day at PF clubs on a new website, www.PlanetofTriumphs.com. The site will allow people to share inspirational stories and encouragement. Planet Fitness will select one member to be cast in a Planet Fitness TV commercial later this year, and another winner will attend the finale of NBC’s The Biggest Loser along with a guest.

Planet Fitness also offers the PF Black Card® membership. For $19.99 a month, this premium membership includes access to all clubs in the Planet Fitness chain (more than 850 nationwide), as well as use of massage chairs, HydroMassage beds and Total Body Enhancement booths, tanning, 50 percent off cooler drinks, and the opportunity to bring a guest every day at no additional charge.
