Police Seeking Clues in Lawrenceville Killing

A Lawrenceville man was found dead in the parking lot of a Walgreen's pharmacy on Lawrenceville Highway.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A man in his 20s was found dead Tuesday evening in the parking lot of a Walgreen's pharmacy on Lawrenceville Highway.

Gwinnett County Police are seeking tips in what they say appears to have been a murder at the store, at 1556 Lawrenceville Highway near Sugarloaf Parkway.

Police were alerted to a 911 call at 7:45 p.m.

They arrived at the pharmacy to find a man laying unresponsive near a silver car in the parking lot. He was taken immediately to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as Wesley J. Bryant, 26, of Lawrenceville.

Investigators say the crime happened in the parking lot, either in or near the victim's car.

Police on Wednesday were not releasing the nature of the killing.

"The suspect and ultimate motive are still unknown at this point in the investigation," Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Michele Pihera said in a news release.
