'Food Network' Cupcake Shop Sets Opening In Gwinnett

SNELLVILLE, GA — A cupcake shop that's been featured on the Food Network is celebrating the opening of a location in Gwinnett County.

Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery, in Snellville, is hosting a grand opening on Saturday. The shop, at the Shoppes At Webb Gin at 1350 Scenic Hwy., has officially been open since last month.

The event will feature giveaways, specials (including a free cupcake with every three you buy) and a grand-prize raffle, in which one customer will win free cupcakes and ice cream for a year.

Based in Kansas, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery was featured on Seasons 1, 2 and 7 of "Cupcake Wars" and founder Jeff Martin has appeared on daytime talk show "The View." USA Today named Smallcakes one of its Top 10 cupcake shops to try in the United States.

Its franchises are now located in 20 states.
