Shootout At Lawrenceville Applebee's Leads To Arrest
At least 13 shots were fired in the restaurant's parking lot Saturday evening, police say.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A North Carolina man has been arrested after a bloody shootout in the parking lot of a Lawrenceville Applebee's restaurant early Saturday that sent two people to the hospital.
At 12:03 a.m., Lawrenceville Police officers responded to a call about a shooting at the restaurant, at 655 Duluth Hwy. They arrived to learn that two people had been shot and were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center.
Investigators determined that two people had exchanged at least 13 shots in the Applebee's front parking lot. A person who was not involved in the shooting was one of the two people wounded, police said.

On Tuesday, police arrested Craig Lynn Jenkins, 29, of Statesville, N.C. in the shooting. Jenkins is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime.
He was booked at Gwinnett County on those charges, plus probation violation, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and disorderly conduct.
