Shoplifter Complains About Officer Who Catches Him, Then Returns
Gwinnett Police need help to find a shoplifter who took an XBox One after he was caught once and said he was "treated poorly."
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a shoplifter who took an XBox One from the Target store at 3200 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Peachtree Corners. After being caught trying to steal the video game, police say he called to complain about the loss prevention officer who caught him. Then he returned a month later to shoplift the same video console.
On Jan. 8, the man entered the Target and placed two XBox One’s in an empty storage container and attempted to purchase the container in the self-checkout line. A loss prevention officer approached the suspect, who then claimed it was a mistake. The man left the store and drove out of the parking lot in a blue Chevrolet Suburban. The man later called the Target and complained that he was treated poorly by loss prevention in reference to this incident.
On Feb. 9, the same man returned to Target and again placed an XBox One in an empty storage container. This time he left the store without paying, skipping the checkout line entirely. The man left the parking lot in the same vehicle.
