Small Plane Lands On Highway In Gwinnett

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Traffic on Ga. 316 in Gwinnett County was backed up Monday afternoon after a small airplane used the highway to land.

The plane landed safely Monday afternoon on the highway near Harbins Road, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department. It had been pulled off into the median awaiting the arrival of Federal Aviation Administration investigators.

Motorists in the area should expect delays, said police department spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera.
