Strange Lawrenceville House Fire Under Investigation
The house was also the site of a fire one month ago, authorities say.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- The remains of a house that was destroyed by fire about a month ago caught fire again on Wednesday, fire officials say.
Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services spokesman Tommy Rutledge said investigators were still working Thursday to determine what caused this second fire.
Firefighters were called at 9:31 p.m. Wednesday to a report from a passerby of a house fire in the 2600 block of Five Forks Trickum Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

They arrived to find heavy fire coming from the back of the vacant, single-story house. They immediately started fighting the fire, and it was declared under control by 10 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The home was empty because of damage caused by the previous fire.

Five adults and five children were living in the home at the time of that blaze on May 3.
It took firefighters about an hour to get that fire under control. It was reported at about 4 p.m. and several residents, adults and children, were home at the time.
