SWAT Called To Lawrenceville Standoff

The standoff started when a suspect barricaded himself in a home while police were serving an arrest warrant.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- SWAT teams have responded to a standoff situation in Lawrenceville, according to police.

At about 4 p.m. Monday, Gwinnett County police officers were assisting Lawrenceville Police with serving an arrest warrant on the 700 block of Windy Hill Point.

During that attempt, police say, the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence.
