Today Southern State Georgia was Covered with White Blanket!

Atlanta's snow put smile on many people's faces!

(Picasa)

Thanks to advanced technology we know what weather is going to be in advance. So, this Saturday our smart phones were telling us how next day, Sunday Atlanta will be covered with white blanket starting mid-day. This news came as a surprise and as joy too. It surprised us because Southern states rarely see snow during winter months. So, weather forecast was right. The thermometer this early morning was showing 32 degrees F. and so around noon time our backyards started to turn white with beautiful snow and my son was so happy and immediately got his camera to record snow that we rarely see in the South. Today's snow in Atlanta was a big attraction and social medias were flooded with photos of not just kids having fun on the snow, but also grown up who were eager to take photos on beautiful white blanket that covered our homes, backyards, streets, parks and local playground. Our winter accessories like: gloves, hats, boots and scarves were not hard to find. Happiness and joy of having snow made it easy for us to find all winter clothing. My family and I went outside to enjoy beautiful snow as well as to enjoy beautiful scenery. As our house is surrounded with beautiful, tall trees, it made it look like we were somewhere in the cabin in the mountains and that was really great. While outside enjoying the beautiful snow that blanketed everything around us, month of January became even more interesting. We took so many pictures and shared them with our friends. Many of my friends shared their photos and you could see joy on kid's little faces and this attraction definitely brought joy to all of us. Weather forecast says that tomorrow we are still be able to enjoy the snow during the day, but the early morning will freeze the snow.
