Unknown Woman Hit By Car, Gwinnett Police Seeking Clues

Police are hoping a tattoo on her collarbone will help someone identify the woman hit on Christmas Day near Lawrenceville.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett County Police are searching for clues to the identify of a woman who was hit by a vehicle in traffic near Lawrenceville on Christmas morning.

At about 6:40 a.m. Sunday, City of Lawrenceville police responded to a suspicious person call on Lawrenceville Suwanee Road.

They discovered a woman laying on the roadway who matched the description of the suspicious person.

Gwinnett County Fire transported her to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition on Monday.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that hit her has been located and that no charges are expected.

Police are asking for the public's help trying to identify the woman.

She is described as a black female with a light complexion who is somewhere between 20-30 years old. She stands about 5'-5'5" tall and was wearing green Marine-style sweatpants a black coat and a green scarf.

She has a tattoo on her left collar bone with what appear to be Roman numerals: "IXVMCM."
