Upsilon Alpha Omega Supports Wacoal's Fit for the Cure®

Lawrenceville, GA - On October 10, 2022, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter partnered with Wacoal’s Fit for the Cure® at Dillard’s Mall of Georgia. Considered to be the “Ultimate Bra Fitting Event” to help end breast cancer, Upsilon Alpha Omega coordinated a day of scheduled fittings, beauty demonstrations and giveaways.

What’s new this year is Wacoal’s donation to Susan G. Komen increased to $5 for every person who receives a complimentary bra fitting and purchases a regular price Wacoal or b.tempt’d bra during a Fit for the Cure® event. There were 36 guests from the community and 54 UAO chapter members who came out to support an amazing event for an amazing cause. There were 40 transactions made, bringing our grand total spent to $2,700. As a result, $200 will be donated in support of Susan G. Komen’s goal to reduce breast cancer deaths in the U.S.

About Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter

On January 29, 1994, thirty aspiring professional women chartered the Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The group gathered to implement and support the international programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as they pertain to the needs of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Today, Upsilon Alpha Omega, the first African-American Greek-letter organization in Gwinnett County is 500+ members strong, and has made a significant impact on the community.
