VIDEO: $10K Reward For Arsonist Conviction
Gwinnett Georgia Arson Control is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the conviction of a suspected arsonist.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett County fire investigators are asking the public's help in identifying a man they believe set a car on fire on Sunday. The man is seen on video on scene at The Views at Coolray Field Luxury Apartment Flats.
Firefighters responded to the gated parking lot off Buford Drive around 2:46 a.m. Sunday, a release says, to find a 2004 Buick LeSabre fully involved in flames.
The man in the footage is seen inside the lobby of the building, and authorities don't know how he got in. He's then seen jumping the fence to get into the lot in front of the building. He tries to get into a few cars, then runs away as fire erupted in the corner of the lot.

“This is a bold act and the person responsible should be held accountable,” said Gwinnett Fire Captain Tommy Rutledge, the release says.
If caught, the suspect will likely face charges of arson, criminal trespass, burglary and entering an automobile, the release says.
Anybody with information on the fire, or the suspect, is urged to call the Gwinnett Georgia Arson Control, Inc., who offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of this man or anybody else involved. You may make your tip anonymously.
