It will be the Connecticut-based franchise's first location in metro Atlanta, and third in all of Georgia.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Wayback Burgers plans to open its third Georgia location, and first in metro Atlanta, in Lawrenceville this summer.

It currently operates more than 100 locations in 26 states, as well as Argentina and Saudi Arabia.

The Lawrenceville location will be in the Shops at Huntcrest, at 1030 Old Peachtree Road.

It will feature a 1,500 square-foot design, featuring a warm red barn board interior with white and stainless steel accents, modeled after the great American roadside burger joint, according to the company.

Once open, the restaurant will create about 15 jobs, the company said.

Currently in Georgia, there are Wayback Burgers locations in Braselton and Savannah.

"We are pleased to continue the expansion of the Wayback Burgers brand into Georgia with the announcement of our Lawrenceville restaurant," said John Eucalitto, president of Wayback Burgers.

"With steady debt-free growth, operations in 26 states and new locations opening at a rate of two per month, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Wayback Burgers brand, and we wouldn’t be able to achieve this level of success without great franchise partners like Waymond and his team."
