Whiz Kids: Junior Beta Club at Crews Middle School

Patch's outstanding kids of the week are the members of the Junior Beta Club at Crews Middle School.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association has a partner in it's initiative to raise money for the cause--the Junior Beta Club at .

With a goal of raising $800 and the incentive of a doughnut party for the homeroom that raised the most money provided by Kroger in Grayson, the Junior Beta Club set out to sell shamrocks to all the students and faculty. More than doubling their fundraising efforts from last year, the students successfully raise $829 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The future of fundraising and raising awareness about causes that deserve support, one of the key elements of community, is in the hands of our children. With kids like those in the Junior Beta Club, our future looks brighter.
