Who Shot Angel? Reward Offered to Find Who Injured Pit Bull

A reward of $500 has been offered in finding the person who shot a pit bull in the neck recently.

The reward is being offered by the Society of Humane Friends in Georgia, which has cared for “Angel,” who was found in the Lawrenceville area a little more than a week ago. The dog was taken to the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter.

Angel, who is recovering in a foster home, survived the shooting even though the bullet went right through her.

“Whoever shot this sweet girl must have done so out of pure meanness, because she is nothing but a gentle marshmallow to everyone she meets,” the Society of Humane Friends posted on its Facebook page. “Angel is full of kisses, and wants only to be loved.”

Gwinnett Police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith told the Gwinnett Daily Post there were no suspects as of Thursday.

The newspaper reported the dog was found in the area near Cedar and Rock House roads, Bishops Lane and Swamp Cabbage Drive.
