Woman Escapes After Car Tumbles Down 15-Foot Embankment

A woman escaped injury Tuesday after her car left the roadway and tumbled down a 15-foot embankment.

According to Gwinnett Fire, crews responded to a reported entrapment off River Drive, an area near the zip codes of Lawrenceville, Snellville and Lilburn. The vehicle came to rest on its top in a shallow creek bed.

The woman was able to climb out of the vehicle and was helped out of the ravine by firefighters.

She was evaluated by paramedics at the scene and was released. No other injuries were reported.
