Woman's Body Found in Storage Bin in Lawrenceville

BREAKING: The body was dumped in a man's front yard, Gwinnett County Police say.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett County Police were investigating a homicide Thursday afternoon in which a woman's body ended up stuffed inside a plastic storage bin.

A resident of the 800 block of James Road in Lawrenceville called police shortly after 1 p.m., saying he had found the woman's body in the bin in his front yard.

Police said in a news release that the body was beginning to show signs of decomposition. They believe the body was transported to the location and dumped there.

Police were working to try to identify the victim Thursday afternoon and said the county medical examiner will be responsible for determining the cause of death.
