The Lilburn Farmers Market has a full menu of things to do this Friday

The weather did not cooperate last Friday and it was raining cats and dogs - so the Lilburn Farmers Market will have Dog Days of Summer - bring your dog to the market again this Friday.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their four-footed friends on a leash to enjoy some special activities designed especially for dogs. Lilburn Woman’s Club Conservation will be handing out ‘Doggie Goodie’ bags to all furry friends.

The Atlanta Obedience Club will host a dog obedience demonstration during the market. They will also be available to answer any doggie questions you might have. Gwinnett Humane Society will bring dogs looking for a forever home to adopt. Girl Scout Delaney Ragsdale will be at the market to raise funds to support her Girl Scout Gold Award project by offering “doggie danas” (dog sized neck bandanas). Be sure to stop by and let her tell you about her project for Family Promise outreaching to the homeless in our area.
Chef Lynn Ware will be hosting a demo at 6 PM showing us how to create Watermelon Salsa. That sounds so good. Can’t wait to learn how to make it. Everything you need to recreate this recipe at home can be found at the market.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Training program is our non-profit. This organization trains and fund raises in Lilburn to raise money to beat cancer! Come by and support this cause.
Gwinnett County Extension’s Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer any and all of your questions about gardening, plants and landscaping.
The North Georgia Two Cylinder Club is bringing several antique tractors for display. What a fun way to celebrate our farmers.
Scratch Cuisine is returning with delicious burgers and Paninis. Can’t wait! Fitzgerald’s Smoked Meats will have his special BBQ. Red Cactus Tamales will have their tamales with a special flair. So many great dinner choices.
Lizzie’s Pantry is going to be bringing some awesome organic snacks from our new line with Eden Foods! They are perfect for back to school. Plus, we’ll have gluten free no-gmo organic Buckwheat, popcorn, and quinoa!
The Ukulele Society of Decatur will return to provide live music for us. They are always a market favorite.
Lilburn Woman’s Club Education program continues to host the Little Free Library.
The Lilburn Farmers Market is a co-sponsored event with Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church at 1400 Killian Hill Road, Lilburn. Come Friday between 4 pm and 8 pm and bring your family and friends.
