All Bears Need Love, Now Available In Paperback

All Bears Need Love, the debut picture book by  Lilburn author, Tanya Valentine, is now available in paperback at Amazon.com and (signed copies) Etsy.com.  Beautifully illustrated by Adam Taylor (George in the U.K., Little Red Fire, and Fun with Fred), All Bears Need Love (ages 4 and up) addresses the comments, questions, and curiosities that often accompany adoption.

When Baby Brown Bear arrives at City Zoo, alone and very frightened, Mama Polar Bear scoops him into her arms and promises to be his mother.  Despite the grumblings and protests of the other animals, Baby Brown Bear learns family is family, no matter the differences and all bears need love.

Already available in both “Read To Me” and “Read Myself” e-book versions at MeeGenius.com, All Bears Need Love’s paperback release fills a void in the adoption picture book market.

Amazon Reader Reviews:

  • “The love that exudes from this children's book is obviously that of the author for her own family. A beautiful way to not only discuss adoption with children, but to point out that families come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Highly recommended!”
  • “I've always been a huge fan of adoption, even before adopted children came into my life (a couple of nieces and many friends). This amazing book with fantastic illustration is the perfect way to share and explain the love that adoption brings. I highly recommend it.”
  • “We read this story together as a family and all ages of our kids loved it (11 to 2 years old). They each took away the message of a mother's love and how it doesn't matter what is on the outside of us, but how we must be loving and inclusive to all! A true gem of a book from a gifted writer.”

“I wrote All Bears Need Love after we adopted our son, thinking it would be a keepsake for him.  However, as I began shopping for picture books portraying families who looked like ours, I realized there was a void in the market.  Since the mid-1990s, 200,000 Americans adopted internationally and in 2000, 16,000 US families adopted interracially. It is such a privilege to share my book  and I’m very excited to see the response from readers.  I hope they continue to enjoy it as much as my little bear does!”
