Battle of Kettle Creek Topic for Philadelphia Winn NSDAR Meeting

     The Philadelphia Winn Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, announces its October 21, 2012, program at 2:00 pm at Ashton Senior Living, 1155 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville.

     Children from the Allen Howard Society, National Society Children of the American Revolution, will present "Finishing the Fight at the Battle of Kettle Creek," as well as other important topics.

     On February 14, 1779, a Patriot militia defeated a Loyalist militia in a clash near Washington, Georgia. The children will explain what may happen if this historic battleground is not preserved.
