Volunteers are a crucial element to the Longleaf Hospice team, bringing an extra layer of care and support to our patients and their loved ones. At Longleaf, our volunteers help make patients' and caregivers' lives easier.
We are actively seeking compassionate, caring, and dedicated volunteers to offer:

- Patient Support: Reading, talking, taking walks, writing letters, making phone calls, running errands, playing games, engaging in a special project, and building friendships.
- Caregiver Respite: Providing relief and peace of mind for the caregivers to have time to care for themselves and run errands, go to appointments, visit with friends, participate in support group meetings or attend religious services.
Volunteers can choose which part of our geographical area they would like to concentrate on and are offered flexible choices in scheduling.
Note: Volunteers are not expected to assist with personal cares (bathing, toileting, dressing, administering medications, etc.).
