GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club Raises $4,263 for New Gwinnett Shelter

In conjunction with the DVA committee and many other ladies from the GFWC Lilburn Woman's Club (LWC), Linda Newton recently organized a first-class Tea and Trunk show. It included an afternoon of fancy finger food, fashion and fun.

The room was filled with concerned members of the community including several of our GFWC sisters from Stone Mountain and Lawrenceville Woman's Clubs. LWC President Laurie Wexel treated everyone to a beautiful flute solo performance and the fashion show was presented by Cynthia Quarles of CAbi Fashions.

After all the proceeds from the raffle tickets, silent jewelry auction, sponsorships, donations and tickets were added together, the grand total of $4,263 well exceeded our earlier estimate of $3,500 as shown in the attached check presentation photo.
