Gwinnett Rotary brings David Ferrell to Gwinnett for A Night of Comedy

Comedian David Ferrell believes you don’t have to be dirty to be funny. On May 21, Ferrell brings his “good and clean” brand of humor to Gwinnett County for a one-night show at the Aurora Theater.

The performance is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Gwinnett County and is part of the club’s 40th anniversary celebration. Proceeds from the evening go to the building campaign at Rainbow Village.

Ferrell’s stand-up act is described as 100 percent clean and suitable for all ages and backgrounds. Over a 20-year career, Ferrell has earned three nominations for Inspirational Comedian of the Year, has been heard on Sirius/XM radio’s “Laugh USA” and been named one of five “Hot Acts in America” by Event Solutions Magazine.

The Gwinnett Rotary Club and the Aurora Theater are teaming up for this charity event. Rainbow Village is a transitional housing community designed to help homeless families with children return to self-sufficiency. It is currently in Phase 2 of an expansion project that will see a $2.9 million community center added to the group’s Duluth campus. The center will include a daycare center, a media center, kitchen and dining hall, classrooms and a chapel.

The Rotary Club of Gwinnett County was chartered in 1973. The club holds an annual fundraiser for Rainbow Village, but this year is tying it to its celebration marking its 40 birthday.
