Philadelphia Winn Chapter NSDAR Featured in 20th Annual Dacula Memorial Day Parade

“Twenty Years of Honor and Remembrance” was the theme of the 20th Annual Dacula Memorial Day Parade, on May 27, 2013. Among the 150 entries to join the parade, Philadelphia Winn Chapter NSDAR was represented by Daughter Rita Valeri and Regent Peggy Freeman.

The Grand Marshal was the riderless horse, representing those who had lost their lives in battle. The mission of organizers was to promote patriotism and encourage area citizens and businesses to participate in a celebration of our country’s freedom. For twenty years on Memorial Day, Dacula has honored all veterans, living and deceased, who have paid the high price of freedom.
